Brought before the Mbacké police station last Wednesday on charges of pedophilia, rape, and acts against nature, the alleged homosexual Sidy Diop was brought before the prosecutor's office for a fourth time this Monday, December 1, 2025. The prosecutor at the Diourbel High Court requested a judicial investigation and an arrest warrant. The case of this 46-year-old photographer has been assigned to the investigating judge of the second chamber, according to Seneweb sources.

On November 22nd, Mr. Diop, aged around sixty, presented himself at the office of Commissioner Alioune Fall, head of the urban police station in Mbacké, accompanied by his son C. Diop, aged 13, a Koranic student residing in the Mbacké-Khewar district.

According to the complainant, his son told him that he had been raped on November 20th, around 8 p.m., in a house located in the Mbacké-Khewar neighborhood.

The story of the young talibé

When questioned, the talibé C. Diop gave investigators a precise account of the events. On the day of the assault, he went to the accused's house in the morning to ask for alms. It was at this time that the accused took advantage of the situation to make advances that the child says he did not understand.

That evening, when the young boy returned to the same spot to beg for dinner, the man took him to his room. He then showed him a pornographic video on his cell phone, explaining that even young people his age were already engaging in sex. He then raped him using lubricant, threatening him with a knife.

Having satisfied his libido, the alleged aggressor cleaned their private parts with a piece of cloth which he put in a bag, instructing the boy to throw it away when he got home.

The suspect was apprehended at his home. He gave his name as Sidy Diop, a photographer residing in the Mbacké-Khewar neighborhood. Briefly questioned about the charges against him, he denied everything. However, he admitted to having received the young talibé (student) in his room and giving him 100 CFA francs and some clothing.

A search of his room yielded the personal lubricant. The piece of fabric he used to clean their private parts was also found in a trash can.

The examination of his mobile phone revealed particularly incriminating evidence. Investigators found that the accused was only interested in men on Facebook, WhatsApp, and TikTok, where he frequently exchanged intimate videos with others and arranged meetings for sexual encounters.

When questioned about the lubricant found in his room, Sidy Diop admitted that the product belonged to him and that he used it to masturbate.

It should be noted that Sidy Diop is known in his neighborhood for his homosexual tendencies.

The victim was taken to the hospital for a consultation, following a court order. According to Seneweb sources, the medical certificate received by investigators confirmed that the boy showed signs of recent violence and bruising around his anus, thus corroborating the accusations against the photographer.
