Aéré Lao : Un véhicule intercepté par la gendarmerie avec 19 kg de chanvre indien
In an effort to ensure security, the territorial brigade of Aéré Lao proceeded on February 3, 2026 at around 4:30 a.m., to immobilize a vehicle transporting Indian hemp and to arrest the driver.
It was following a road check that the gendarmes intercepted a Toyota Avensis vehicle in which there were 19 kilograms of Indian hemp, the driver and a passenger who managed to escape, Seneweb learned from Colonel Ibrahima Ndiaye, head of the Communication and Public Relations Division of the National Gendarmerie.
The driver of the vehicle, a Senegalese national, was arrested. The drugs were seized, as well as a Toyota Avensis.
