Affaire ASER–AEE POWER EPC : Babacar Ba interpelle le procureur financier
In an open letter addressed to the financial prosecutor at the Financial Judicial Pool of Dakar, the president of the Forum of the Justiciable, Babacar Ba, calls for more transparency in the handling of the ASER–AEE POWER EPC case.
According to him, in a democracy, transparency and accountability are fundamental requirements of good governance. "In a democracy, transparency and accountability are not choices, but fundamental requirements of good governance. Today, the ASER-AEE POWER EPC case, which concerns a contractual financial dispute related to a rural electrification contract worth over 37 billion CFA francs, is raising serious questions among the national public," he stated.
Babacar Ba points out that this project, intended to improve the living conditions of thousands of Senegalese living in rural areas, is now at the heart of suspicions of mismanagement, financial blockages and various disputes.
