Affaire Madiambal : Les chefs de la Dic et du Commissariat de l'aéroport virés !
The Ministry of the Interior has just responded to the Madiambal Diagne affair. In a press release signed by its minister, he emphasized that instructions had been given for increased vigilance at all levels of security concerned since the adoption of the opposition measure. Despite this, Madiambal Diagne was able to leave the country. Faced with this situation, the Minister of the Interior, Mr. Bamba Cissé, decided to take action.
"Pending the conclusions of the internal investigation opened to determine the conditions of the exit and possibly determine all responsibilities, the Minister of the Interior and Public Security has, as a precautionary measure, decided to relieve the heads of the Criminal Investigations Division and the Special Police Station of Blaise Diagne International Airport of their duties," the press release states.
The Ministry also reports that it has received notification today of an international arrest warrant issued against fugitive Madiambal Diagne. The warrant was issued by the President of the College of Investigating Judges of the Financial Judicial Pool. Meanwhile, the department reports that the circumstances under which Mr. Diagne was able to flee remain unclear.
