Affaire Pierre Robert : «Où était l’État ?»
Clinical psychologist Serigne Mor Mbaye does not hide his bitterness at the massive involvement of children in recent morality cases, particularly in the Pierre Robert case, where children aged 7 to 13 were manipulated by homosexual adults.
For him, this situation is not surprising. Interviewed by L'Observateur, the specialist recalls his 30 years of activism and the 100,000 kilometers he has traveled to raise awareness among the population, while also pointing out the lack of support from the authorities. "Where was the State?" he asks emphatically.
Professor Mbaye highlights a structural weakness in the psychological support provided to victims and calls for renewed training for law enforcement in interviewing minors.
According to him, the State has failed by not acting upstream: digital education is now a national emergency to prevent the risks linked to social networks, which he describes as veritable "open windows" onto global pedocriminality.
He also emphasizes an alarming clinical reality: "Many pedophiles have told me that they were victims in their childhood." Without appropriate support, he warns, trajectories break down and deviance can be reproduced neurotically, establishing a cycle of violence where some victims end up becoming perpetrators.
He concluded by directly addressing the political authorities: "Those who govern must take stock of their society to know what they want to do with it."
