Affaire Softcare : les précisions de la mission d’information parlementaire
Following the Health Minister's statement on the Softcare affair, the parliamentary fact-finding mission opened on the matter also took a stand.
She was keen to clarify that "regardless of recent communications in the public sphere, particularly following the results of the conclusions of the ad hoc committee established by the Executive, its work continues within the framework of the oversight prerogatives granted to the National Assembly by the Constitution and its Rules of Procedure."
The mission notes that the Assembly Bureau extended its mandate in February. It will therefore continue its work until April 5, 2026, at the latest, in order to complete the investigation of the facts and consolidate the case file. Consequently, the mission intends to continue its hearings, the analysis of technical and administrative documents, and its verification efforts.
"It aims to produce a complete and substantiated parliamentary assessment of the chronology of events, the conformity of the procedures used, the traceability of the findings and the administrative responsibilities that may be involved," the mission led by the Honorable Member of Parliament Khady Sarr stated in its press release.
It assures that it conducts its work in complete independence from missions, investigations or assessments emanating from the executive branch and promises "to assess the facts in light of the evidence gathered and will draw sovereign conclusions".
