Agressions à Pikine-Technopole : Assane Moumeu et sa bande, « des individus extrêmement dangereux »
In 2021, the Pikine-Technopole neighborhood was the scene of numerous violent attacks perpetrated by an armed gang that terrorized residents. At the center of these attacks, according to L'Observateur, which attended the hearing, was A. Camara, alias "Assane Moumeu," a tailor by trade, presented as the leader of a group that robbed passersby and couples at machete point-blank range. This Thursday, the Pikine-Guédiawaye criminal court examined the case of Camara and his accomplices, Ch. Ndiaye and Kh. Mbengue, for whom the prosecution requested life imprisonment.
The three men, already repeat offenders, are being prosecuted for criminal association, armed robbery committed at night, and illegal possession of weapons.
In court, Ndiaye denied any involvement, claiming he was arrested by chance and a victim of police brutality. Camara rejected the nickname "Moumeu" and stated he had not participated in any of the assaults. Mbengue also denied the allegations, according to the newspaper of the Future Media Group.
However, the same source states that investigations and testimonies describe an organized group, with "Assane Moumeu" as the leader and his accomplices as the perpetrators. The victims, including Fatou Nguirane, who was pregnant at the time, and the Diallo couple, reported violent machete attacks accompanied by the theft of phones and other belongings. Police arrested Ch. Ndiaye in the act and, thanks to a stolen phone found on him, were able to identify the other members of the gang.
The prosecution described the trio as "extremely dangerous" and emphasized the organized and brutal nature of the attacks, seeking life imprisonment. The defense disputes the accusations, citing a lack of physical evidence and police brutality during interrogations.
After several hours of debate, the court adjourned the hearing and will deliver its verdict on December 2nd, concludes L'Observateur.

Je ne suis pas totalement sur si ces gens la sont les criminels tant recherches peut-etre les avocats eux ont la certitude de leur innocence. PARCEQUE:
