Agressions groupées : un lutteur arrêté
In its edition of Tuesday, January 6, Libération reports that wrestler Abdou Lô Sène was arrested and taken into custody following acts of delinquency that occurred last weekend near the Dial Mbaye bus stop. This incident comes amidst a climate where the Minister of the Interior is taking a firmer stance against group attacks commonly known as "Simol."
The suspect was identified by several video recordings showing the incidents. To justify his presence at the scene, Sène, according to the daily newspaper, claimed he was scheduled to fight the wrestler "Thiatou Pathé" on January 4th. However, this version was formally denied by the promoter during questioning.
Already known to police as a repeat offender, the wrestler also admitted to being accompanied by eleven individuals who regularly follow him on his travels. The investigation is ongoing to identify all members of his entourage involved in these attacks. Further arrests are expected, according to the same source.
