To mark the 146th anniversary of the Call of Seydina Limamou Lahi, scheduled for January 19 and 20, 2026, the National Union of Associations of Traders, Operators, and Investors of Senegal (UNACOIS YEESSAL) has issued a call to its members and all stakeholders in the trade sector. The organization emphasizes the need to respect commercial regulations and protect consumers during this period of high demand.
In a statement received by our organization, UNACOIS YEESSAL urges retailers to respect regulated prices and avoid any speculative practices. It also calls on them to refrain from selling expired or unfit products and to refuse to market counterfeit goods, which could harm the health and safety of customers.
The union emphasizes that the celebration of this major religious event must be marked by civic responsibility, transparency, and respect for current regulations. It calls upon retailers to act responsibly to ensure a healthy, fair, and safe business environment.
"UNACOIS YEESSAL counts on everyone's commitment to inform, respect the rules and protect the interests of consumers," the statement concludes.
