Armée-Nation : Les élèves du Poucinet en immersion à la gendarmerie nationale
As part of the Army-Nation concept, the national gendarmerie opened its doors to students from the Le Poucinet school on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, in the Samba Diery Diallo district.
The initiative pursues a dual ambition: to introduce children to the missions and organization of the gendarmerie, while cultivating in the youngest a patriotic spirit and a strong link between the defense forces and the Nation.
The program for this immersion day included visits to two elite units. The students were first welcomed to the Mounted Cavalry group, where they discovered the world of horses and the bond of trust between rider and mount.
They then joined the Motorcycle Group, which offered them a demonstration of technical skill and responsiveness, illustrating the role of these units in securing major events and escort missions, Seneweb learned from Colonel Ibrahima Ndiaye.
Beyond the spectacle, this day allowed young learners to better understand the daily commitment of the national gendarmerie to the protection of citizens and their property.
