Arts in Transit: Un pont culturel entre Pointe-à-Pitre et Dakar
After London and Geneva, Arts in Transit, the cultural platform founded by Jérôme de Massias, is setting up shop in Dakar for its third edition. The event will take place from December 2nd to 7th, 2025. Nearly a week dedicated to creativity, memory, and dialogue between Guadeloupe, Africa, and Black diasporas.
Led by DMDB, a young Guadeloupean brand committed to slow fashion, the event unfolds a unique artistic journey blending fashion, contemporary art, gastronomy, music, and cultural conversations. Conceived as a traveling stage celebrating the heritage and stories of the Black world, Arts in Transit aims to create a space where identities and imaginations meet and are renewed.
Vibrant, creative, and diverse, the Senegalese capital offers an ideal setting for this edition, according to the organizer. Its rich culture, its history deeply intertwined with African and diasporic trajectories, and its burgeoning artistic scene make it a symbolic location to celebrate cultural transmission and pride.
The highlight of the program was the fashion show unveiling DMDB's second collection, "From Pointe-à-Pitre to Dakar, our future looks brighter", which was presented at the Maison des Cultures Urbaines yesterday.
Alongside this fashion show, Jérôme de Massias spoke in more detail about this cultural program.
