Babacar Diagne : comment il a succombé peu avant sa sortie d'hôpital
Babacar Diagne, killed after the wrestling match between Ama Baldé and Franc on Sunday, was buried this Tuesday at the Pikine cemetery. L'Observateur, which relayed the information in its issue of this Wednesday, February 19, reports that "a very angry crowd, composed of family, friends and Pastef activists accompanied the deceased leader of the Patriotic Youth of Senegal to his final resting place."
A feeling heightened by the results of the autopsy. Indeed, the body was returned to his family after the autopsy carried out at the Idrissa Pouye hospital in Grand-Yoff, revealing "a thoracic contusion with wounds to the tip of the right ventricle and compressive hemopericardium". In clear terms, the same source explains, "the violence of the shock suffered at the chest level led to cardiac arrest".
However, the newspaper points out that Diagne, who was rushed to Dalal Jam hospital after his attack, was allowed to go home. "It was when he was leaving the hospital that he became dizzy, collapsing before even reaching the exit. Taken urgently to the treatment room, he succumbed a few hours later," continues the title of the Future Media Group.
The investigation, opened by the Golf Sud police, is continuing. "The hearing of the main suspect, a member of the fire brigade, also injured during the clashes, could prove decisive," believes L'Observateur.
"The day before his death," confided his brother, Bara Diagne, quoted by the daily newspaper. "He had actively participated in the collection for the traditional "Khadra Jumah" scheduled for this Friday, February 21. On Sunday, after watching the fight, Babacar went to see his family before heading back to Malika, where he was staying with our big brother, Mansour Cissé."
The deceased fell into an ambush, his relatives accuse.
