Bignona : Un chauffeur arrêté par l'OCRTIS avec du chanvre indien et du haschich
The fight against drug trafficking continues in Casamance. The head of the Ziguinchor Regional Narcotics Brigade, part of OCRTIS, arrested an individual suspected of drug trafficking in Bignona.
The accused, identified as Mr L. Diallo, 46 years old, a driver by profession, was arrested for possession of Indian hemp and hashish for the purpose of trafficking.
A search carried out at his home enabled investigators to seize a quantity of prohibited products, namely:
1.7 kg of Indian hemp, 17 cones of the same product and three balls of hashish as well as packaging materials, including paper, scissors and a knife according to Seneweb sources.
The suspect is currently in police custody awaiting referral to the relevant authorities.
This operation is part of the OCRTIS strategy aimed at stemming drug trafficking in the Ziguinchor region and in Bignona in particular, an area considered a sensitive point in the transport of drugs.
