Casablanca : Amadou Chérif Diouf soutient Mama Africa après les incidents de la CAN
The Secretary of State to the Minister of African Integration, Foreign Affairs and Senegalese Abroad, in charge of Senegalese Abroad, Amadou Chérif Diouf, made a symbolic visit to Casablanca, to Ndèye Ba, better known as "Mama Africa", owner of a Senegalese restaurant located in the Oulfa Azhar district.
This visit, which comes on the eve of the opening of the High Joint Commission for Senegalese-Moroccan Cooperation, scheduled under the aegis of Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko, is part of the mission to assist and protect Senegalese abroad.
Mama Africa's restaurant had been vandalized following the Africa Cup of Nations final between Senegal and Morocco. During this visit, the Senegalese authorities reaffirmed their support for the entrepreneur, who had been deeply affected by these events.
The return to calm observed in recent days has allowed the restaurant to effectively resume operations, a positive sign welcomed during the discussion. This initiative highlights the importance the State places on the safety, dignity, and resilience of the Senegalese diaspora, particularly in sensitive contexts.
This symbolic visit is a reminder that cooperation between Senegal and Morocco also relies on the protection of communities and living together, beyond diplomatic circles.
