CDC : Babacar Bâ interpelle directement le chef de l'État sur un blocage majeur
According to Babacar Bâ, president of the Forum of the Justiciable of Senegal, the Supervisory Commission of the Caisse de dépôts et consignations (CDC) has still not transmitted its 2024 annual report to the National Assembly, in alleged violation of the legal provisions in force.
In a letter addressed to the President of the Republic, he recalls that Article 29 of Law No. 2017-32 of July 15, 2017 concerning the organization and operation of the CDC requires the transmission of the annual report of the Supervisory Commission to the National Assembly before June 30 of each year.
He specifies that the report of the Supervisory Commission on the moral direction and on the material situation of the Fund during the past year is sent to the National Assembly before June 30.
This report includes, in particular, for the year in question, the minutes of the meetings of the commission, to which are annexed the opinions, motions or resolutions that it voted on.
For Babacar Bâ, this situation constitutes a failure to meet the obligations of transparency and accountability provided for by law, in a context where the governance of public structures remains at the heart of public debate.
