Circoncision en milieu mandingue : Les trois moments clés
Circumcision is an inevitable process in all communities, but specific to the Mandingo community, according to the mayor of Dioudoubou. Moussa Dramé describes it in three stages: the emotional, educational, and communicative phases.
The day before, mothers dance the "madiba" and the "lendieng" and welcome other parents and families from the surrounding villages. The day of circumcision is marked, first of all, by the shared meal called "fatandi kinoo", a dish that each mother prepares for her children. It is the last meal before leaving for the bush that the mother gives to her children and their shepherd (supervisor called 'lambé'). A moment full of emotion, because it is a question of separating for the first time from her offspring for a month. Prayers and tears punctuate these moments.
Then comes the learning curve. The child is taught to respect their elders, to live in society, to share, to forgive, before preparing to leave the sacred wood called "kind ong."
Finally, the long-awaited moment arrives. The outing, or "niansoung bondoo." A festive moment, certainly, but full of significance. The community unites with the rest of the population, who come to welcome the "new men" into social life.

C'est vraiment culturelle
Ce maire ferait mieux de parler de développement et de ce qu'il a réalisé pour sa commune.
C'est pas son rôle de débattre sur des danses et initiations.
