He admitted to acquiring the falsified report card for the modest sum of 15,000 CFA francs from a certain B. KOITA, a physical education teacher, with the aim of deceiving the verification services of the French Embassy. Armed with these revelations, the Grand-Yoff police station launched a meticulously orchestrated sting operation. Investigators allowed B. KOITA to operate normally before arresting him at the precise moment he was handing over new counterfeit ballots to a client.

Cornered, the PE teacher readily admitted to having created numerous fake school documents, intended both to facilitate student transfers and to complete administrative files intended for diplomatic missions.

The searches and forensics carried out following the arrest led to the seizure of a veritable arsenal of forgery: several stamps from educational establishments, a number of falsified report cards, digital media containing altered documents, as well as computer and printing equipment used to produce them.
The two individuals, charged with conspiracy, forgery and use of forged documents, and impersonating a public official, have been taken into custody. The investigation is ongoing, and further developments are expected in the coming days.
