Conflits entre éleveurs et agriculteurs : Le président des éleveurs Ismaïla Sow alerte l’État
The president of the National Council of the Senegalese Breeders' House, Ismaïla Sow, has called on the government to address the resurgence of conflicts between herders and farmers. According to him, these tensions are primarily caused by the occupation of grazing areas by farmers.
Relations between herders and farmers are often a source of clashes. According to Ismaïla Sow, "every time we move our livestock to a place, the following year, it is transformed into a field by the farmers, because the land is fertilized by the herd's manure. Today, we have almost no grazing areas left," he denounced.
Mr. Sow called on the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, to "take responsibility" in the face of this situation. "Some say there is no difference between agriculture and livestock farming, but they are two completely different activities. Farmers are taking over our land as they see fit. Only the government can put things in order," he insisted during this meeting, which took place on August 20 in Fatick in the presence of the livestock farmers' collective.
He recalled that the regions of Fatick, Kaolack, and Diourbel, the heart of the peanut basin, become practically uninhabitable for herds during the rainy season. "We must create areas reserved for livestock grazing. We cannot leave our native region to go to eastern Senegal because of people who are grabbing land for personal gain, to the detriment of herders," he added.
To prevent further clashes, Ismaïla Sow recommends that "every actor respects the limits."
As a reminder, a land dispute between the people of the commune of Ndiago and its surroundings and a marabout who owns fields in the locality continues to cause clashes. Moreover, this press briefing was held after the hearing between a farmer's son and the marabout's disciples.

1 - le métier d'éleveur n'est pas un domaine réservé a une communauté
2 - le pâturage est une activité qui est libre pendant la saison sèche après les récoltes. Mais en période de pluie ou l'herbe pousse partout pas besoin de faire marcher le bétail...
3 - un système hybride d'élevage est aujourd'hui largement pratiqué ( pâturage plus embouche et même production laitière et ceux qui le font n'empiète sur le champ de personne.
4 mettez vous en coopérative et achetez des terres ou utilisez le ranch de dolly et arrêtez de laisser vos animaux divaguer dans les champs clôturés des paysans

Les éleveurs devraient avoir leurs propres zone de pâturage bayilen togne, c'est très difficile de voir toit le récoltes disparaitre après le passage des troupeaux en plus certains bergers le font exprès...
Éleveurs , cultivateurs , pécheurs tous sont des fils du Sénégal et c'est toujours a l’état de réguler et de mettre chacun a l'aise et mettre un cadre qui puisse faire en sorte que chacun se sente bien dans son propre pays
Le problème vient plutôt de certains éleveurs irresponsables qui ne respectent rien
