Dégradation continue de leurs conditions de travail : Le Front unitaire des travailleurs de l’AIBD alerte

Through an open letter outlining their "collective demands" and a "social emergency", the trade union organizations of the Unitary Front of Workers of AIBD SA publicly brought to the attention of the Director General "the concerns and legitimate expectations of the staff" of the company.

Despite their previous warnings, they say they are witnessing with regret a "continuous deterioration of our working conditions. Today, staff dissatisfaction is such that a concrete response from you has become imperative." Their "priority demands" revolve around "an immediate solution for health insurance. Indeed, several staff members have learned, directly from healthcare facilities, that their insurance cards have been blocked." This "constitutes a serious attack on their dignity and their health security."

Added to this are "the swift finalization of the harmonization process, which was the subject of a validation seminar between management and social partners," "the reinstatement of social benefits that were unilaterally eliminated," and "the organization, as soon as possible, of the election to renew the staff representative body, which was scheduled for last June by the Thiès regional inspectorate." Not to mention "the immediate reopening of respectful, constructive, and sincere collective bargaining, a far cry from the contemptuous practices we have witnessed since."

The Unity Front says it reserves the right to hold a press conference in the coming days, "if a positive outcome is not found as soon as possible." Its main demands will be presented at the conference to appeal to public opinion and the relevant authorities, including the Ministry of Air Transport, the Prime Minister, and the President of the Republic.

"The dynamism and sustainability of our structure cannot be built at the expense of those who keep it running on a daily basis," say the AIBD workers, mobilized and determined to defend their rights.

Ils veulent dire conditions de magouilles et privilèges indécents. Il faut les virer tous, 70 % de tocards qui n'ont pas leur place à l'aeroport.
