Dakar : Trois malfaiteurs arrêtés par la BR avec des bijoux d'une valeur de 10 millions F CFA
The Faidherbe research brigade of the Dakar gendarmerie company conducted an operation to dismantle a criminal network specializing in the theft of luxury jewelry.
Following a complaint, investigators conducted investigations which led to the arrest of three individuals for conspiracy, robbery in a group and receiving stolen goods.
The suspects were found in possession of two watches worth a total of 10 million CFA francs, a bracelet, a pair of earrings, and three chains reported stolen from the 7th floor of a building approximately a month ago, according to Colonel Ibrahima Ndiaye, head of the National Gendarmerie's Communication and Public Relations Division. The victims of the thefts have been able to recover their belongings. The three suspects are in police custody.
