Décès d'Abdoulaye Ba : Ce que révèlent les conclusions de l'autopsie
The autopsy report of student Abdoulaye Ba, whose death was confirmed on February 9, 2026, sheds crucial light on the circumstances of his death. The forensic examination rules out the possibility of natural causes and reveals extremely violent trauma.
Conducted at the Laboratory of Pathological Anatomy and Cytology of the Idrissa Pouye General Hospital by Dr. MA Diallo, the expert report concludes that Abdoulaye Ba succumbed to severe polytrauma. The forensic pathologist's findings categorically reject the initial hypotheses of isolated natural causes, such as an asthma attack. The document emphasizes that the death was the direct result of a "major traumatic event."
The autopsy described a series of severe injuries affecting several vital organs, primarily on the left side of the body. The report mentions fractures of the 10th and 11th left ribs, which resulted in a punctured lung, causing deep wounds and a large hemothorax. Significant damage was also noted to the spleen and left kidney, causing massive internal bleeding. Although no skull fracture was found, the student presented with a concussion and subdural hemorrhage, signs of a violent impact to the head.
According to the forensic analysis, it was the combination of these internal hemorrhages—thoracic, abdominal, and cranial—that led to acute cardiorespiratory failure. "All the observed injuries are consistent with a violent trauma, predominantly to the left thoracoabdominal region," states Dr. Diallo's report.
These technical findings now constitute a central piece of evidence, essential to determining the exact origin of the blows or the accident that led to the young student's death.
