Décès de Youssouf Diouf, attaquant de l’AS Saloum : Une autopsie attendue avant son inhumation
Youssouf Diouf, the young striker for AS Saloum, a club in the Pro 2 league, died after collapsing at the end of the match against AS Amitié yesterday, Sunday, in Thiès. The LSFP statement specifies that the deceased had not been fasting.
In Ziguinchor, his hometown, news of his death spread like wildfire and plunged the sporting world into mourning. Messages of condolence continue to pour in from figures in the sporting world, and football in particular, to his family and the managers of the various teams he played for.
According to those close to him, the body is to be transported to Dakar tomorrow for the purposes of the autopsy in order to determine the causes of his death.
Youssou Diouf, born on December 20, 2025, was trained at the ASCABS football academy , the local community sports association (ASC) in his neighborhood , where his talent blossomed. He recently joined AS Saloum. Previously, the striker honed his skills at Casa Sports, Olympique de Ziguinchor, and CES-Zig, among other clubs.
