Détournement de 1;2 milliard F CFA : trois terrains et 150 millions F CFA pour éviter la prison
The case of the embezzlement of 1.2 billion CFA francs involving Batiprom manager Mr. Touré has reached a provisional resolution thanks to criminal mediation. Accused of breach of trust in connection with a subcontracting agreement with Naffco (a Dubai-based company awarded a contract by the Ministry of the Interior in 2022), Mr. Touré had been arrested and then brought before the Criminal Investigation Division (DIC).
According to Libération, which gave the information in its edition of Saturday, November 22, the civil party, the general manager of Batiprom, Kalidou Wagué, who is also the mayor of Bokidiawé, has finally accepted an amicable settlement.
According to the terms of the agreement, the newspaper details, Mr. Touré reimbursed the victim in kind and in cash: he ceded three plots of land located in Ouakam, Gueule-Tapée and Fass, paid 50 million in cash and committed to completing with a payment of 100 million within 45 days.
This arrangement has allowed for the temporary suspension of public action, the same source says.
