The Kaolack Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (CCIAK) inaugurated its focal point for business support in the Guinguineo department on Wednesday, October 29. This initiative will facilitate access to CCIAK services for local stakeholders and strengthen the Chamber of Commerce's institutional presence, according to its officials.

The prefect of Guinguineo welcomed this initiative from the CCIAK. For Marième Pouye Hanne, this focal point will serve as an interface between the institution and the economic stakeholders in the area. "It will allow, among other things, the issuance on-site of the documents necessary for formalization and the promotion of business development, providing support and guidance in terms of training and financing. This focal point aims to incubate and enable businesses to seize opportunities."

This focal point will also allow the CCIAK to have a much more operational presence, the Prefect welcomed and encouraged. "This is a policy we strongly support, and we congratulate the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Serigne Mboup, for his vision of bringing the Chamber of Commerce closer to economic operators. It also reassures the operators in the department who had the opportunity today to express their main expectations: access to financing, which is very limited. We hope that with the guidance of the Chamber of Commerce, and with the support of local authorities and technical services, we can further unlock the department's potential."

Taking advantage of the opportunity, the head of the departmental executive made a passionate plea to all state support structures so that the department's economic operators would receive more support in terms of opportunities and access to financing.

According to the Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce, Djibril Diop, "making this focal point available to Guinguineo will allow us to jointly address the challenges of informality, access to credit and market conquest in order to support economic actors and entrepreneurs in the development of their income-generating activities in Guinguineo".
