An unusual and surprising event has shaken the Diamaguène neighborhood. A 28-year-old man was arrested for stealing a natural hair wig worth 300,000 CFA francs, after spending the night with a sex worker for 30,000 CFA francs.
A paid night that turns into a rip-off
B. Sow, alias "Kao", spent the night with CS Diouf, a sex worker, for the agreed sum of 30,000 CFA francs. But unexpectedly, upon leaving the premises the following morning, Kao stole the woman's natural hair wig, valued at an estimated 300,000 CFA francs, according to Seneweb sources.
Having noticed the theft a few hours later, the victim went to the Diamaguène Sicap-Mbao district police station on Thursday, January 22, 2026 to file a complaint against his one-night client.
Drug arrest and discovery
Accompanied by the complainant, the police went to the suspect's home in Tivaouane Diacksao. B. Sow was caught red-handed packaging loose cannabis in his bedroom.
When questioned about the theft charges against him, the suspect admitted to taking the woman's wig. He then led investigators to where he had hidden it: on the roof of the sheep pen.
As for the Indian hemp found in his possession, he stated that he had bought it for his own consumption.
It should be noted that the complainant presented herself with a valid health booklet.
The cannabis was seized and placed under seal. The suspect was taken into custody before being brought before the court. Prosecutor Saliou Dicko, head of the Pikine-Guédiawaye prosecutor's office, was informed of the facts.
