Diogo : Un véhicule transportant de la drogue intercepté en pleine nuit
The Diogo Community Brigade conducted a successful operation on the night of August 26, around 2 a.m., intercepting a car carrying approximately 5 kg of Indian hemp. Two individuals were arrested, and the third suspect fled.
The incident occurred as the police were preparing to check the identity of the passengers and search the vehicle. It was during this time that one of the two passengers managed to escape.
The driver, G. Niang, and the passenger, A. Ba, a professional farmer, were taken into custody at the Diogo gendarmerie for drug trafficking. The vehicle used to transport the drugs was immobilized, while the 5 kg of Indian hemp was sealed.
The fugitive suspect, identified as A. Sène and also a farmer, is being actively sought by investigators.
The two suspects in police custody will be brought before the Thiès High Court for drug trafficking.
