Diogo : Un berger condamné à deux ans de prison derme pour vol impliquant des mineurs
Shepherd M. Sow is being prosecuted for receiving stolen goods. He was arrested in Diogo in possession of four sheep stolen by four boys under the age of 10, namely B. Sow, A. Sow, T. Bâ, and AB. Sow. Placed in pretrial detention, shepherd M. Sow is being tried this Friday, December 5, 2025, by the Thiès court of summary jurisdiction.
In court, B. Sow and his younger brother, A. Sow, stated that they had been instructed by T. Bâ to steal the four sheep. "T. Bâ asked us to steal sheep and bring them back to him. When we took the four sheep, we went to give them to him. He was with A.B. Sow. T. Bâ then called the shepherd, M. Sow, to come and collect the sheep. M. Sow arrived in a black vehicle and took the animals away," B. Sow explained. His brother, A. Sow, corroborated his account.
For his part, the boy T. Bâ stated that it was the shepherd M. Sow who had asked him to steal sheep and then sell them back to him. He then tasked B. Sow and his younger brother A. Sow with committing the theft. "When B. Sow and A. Sow brought me the sheep, I went to sell them to the shepherd M. Sow. He took them back, but he hasn't paid me yet. He told me to come back the next day to collect my money," revealed T. Bâ. His companion, AB. Sow, confirmed that it was the shepherd M. Sow who was behind the theft.
The accused denied the accusations. Mr. Sow acknowledged that the sheep were found at his home but stated that he was unaware of the animals' fraudulent origin.
The public prosecutor deemed Mr. Sow guilty of receiving stolen goods and requested a 6-month prison sentence.
The judge finally reclassified the charges from receiving stolen goods to theft and declared the shepherd Mr. Sow guilty on this charge, then sentenced him to 2 years in prison.

Deux ans de prison Derme!!! Il a pris dermète
Hier, c'est un autre berger qui a pris trois mois ferme pour avoir tailladé à coups de machette un cultivateur. Vous y voyez clair, vous, dans l'échelle des sanctions? Moi, pas! J'ai l'impression qu'il n'y a aucune règle et que chaque juge fait comme il l'entend. En clair, une justice taillable à volonté.
