Distinction : Le PDG de Walfadjri, Cheikh Niass, sacré Docteur Honoris Causa à Abidjan
The African academic world has just paid a solemn tribute to the Senegalese media landscape through the figure of Cheikh Niass. The Walfadjri Group officially announced that its Chairman and CEO has been awarded an honorary doctorate by the Higher School of Advanced Technologies in Management, a leading institution based in Côte d'Ivoire. This distinction recognizes a remarkable career and an "exceptional contribution to the development of the media sector in Senegal and Africa."

This prestigious award recognizes not only individual achievement but also a long-standing commitment to journalistic independence. According to the press group's statement, this title crowns a "constant dedication to a free, professional, and responsible press," thus faithfully following in the footsteps and legacy of his late father, Sidy Lamine Niass. The recognition was granted at the suggestion of the Africa Emergence Communication Group, which is dedicated to honoring leaders actively contributing to the continent's development.

The award ceremony, held in the Ivorian capital, brought together a host of influential figures from academia, the media, and institutional circles. Through this event, the academic institutions sought to highlight a "committed vision in service of information and development." For the Front de Terre group, this international recognition reinforces the stature of its leader and confirms Walfadjri's central role in shaping an informed African public opinion.
