Drame à Tambacounda : Un Guinéen poignardé à mort par son neveu
A family tragedy struck the Pont 3 district of Tambacounda on the night of June 3-4, 2026. A Guinean man succumbed to a stab wound inflicted by his own nephew, who fled before being caught a few hours later, according to Seneweb sources.
At 12:44 a.m., the central police station in Tambacounda was alerted to a fight in the Pont 3 neighborhood during which one of the participants was stabbed. Upon the officers' arrival, the victim, Mamadou Saliou Diallo, 45, a Guinean national, had already been taken to the hospital. His nephew, the alleged perpetrator, had fled, abandoning the knife used to stab his uncle in the chest, below the right collarbone.
The police immediately went to the hospital to inquire about the victim's condition, where the on-call doctor informed them that Mamadou Saliou Diallo had succumbed to his injuries during his evacuation. A request was made to a qualified professional to perform an autopsy.
The fugitive was caught two hours later
A search was then launched to apprehend the suspected perpetrator of the murder. At 4:35 a.m., less than four hours after the incident, the suspect was arrested in the Saré Issa neighborhood.
Taken to the police station, he gives his identity: Mamadou Baïlo Ba, 24 years old, worker residing in the Pont district.
Placed in police custody, he is being prosecuted for intentional assault and battery resulting in death.
