Drame aux ICS : la direction livre sa version des faits après la mort d'un agent
In a statement seen by Les Échos, the Chemical Industries of Senegal (ICS) provided details regarding the death of Ahmed Sène, one of their employees who died following an accident in a tank. According to management, "internal rescue teams intervened immediately" after the accident to provide initial "resuscitation and stabilization" care before his emergency transfer to a "specialized hospital in the capital," where he was placed in intensive care for five days. Despite "state-of-the-art medical care," the worker "succumbed to the severity of his injuries."
ICS also stated that a "thorough technical investigation was immediately launched" in coordination with the relevant authorities to "establish the facts" and "audit the safety systems." The company offered its condolences to the family and reiterated its commitment to "fully assume its legal and human responsibilities towards the deceased's beneficiaries."
