Drame de Ngazobile : Les mots du Pr. Diomaye Faye depuis la Casamance
Senegal is mourning the sinking of a boat carrying migrants to Ngazobile, off the coast of Joal. So far, 12 bodies have been recovered from the water, and 31 survivors have been identified. This tragedy has prompted a strong reaction from the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye.
The Head of State, who is currently in Casamance, where he shared a moment of communion with our Armed Forces in Basséré, wished to express his condolences to the families bereaved by the tragedy. "We share their pain and sorrow, while the search continues for any possible survivors," he stated.
“These moments, however different they may be, remind us of our responsibility to protect lives, secure our communities, and strengthen hope throughout the country,” added the Commander-in-Chief. For him, standing alongside those who watch over the country’s security every day and remaining attentive to the hardships that befall our people are part of the same duty: to serve Senegal with humanity and commitment.

J' ai relève que, ces derniers jours, un prêcheur du nom de Modou Fall a fait un appel retentissant aux jeunes pour quitter illégalement le territoire national en direction de l' Europe.
Ce faisant, il tombe sous le coup de la complicité par incitataion.
Je ne suis pas sur place pour faire les procédures adéquates aux noms des familles éplorées.
Je prie instamment le procureur ibou laye pour engager les poursuites pertinentes a cet effet.
Au demeurant, mr fall pourrait être poursuivi pour trouble a l ordre public et mise en danger de la vie d' autrui.
