On the night of September 5 to 6, 2025, around midnight, a patrol from the Zac Mbao district police station arrested two individuals for drug possession in the Saba city district, in Keur Mbaye Fall, not far from the TER station.

Upon seeing the police, MA Kabir and Mr. Sow attempted to flee, but were quickly caught after a brief chase. The search revealed four bags of kush on Mr. Sow, intended for sale at a unit price of 2,000 CFA francs, while MAKabir was in possession of five kepas (small packets of 250 CFA francs).

When questioned, the two suspects admitted the facts, while presenting themselves as "simple consumers." Mr. Sow, however, revealed that he and his friend had obtained their supplies from a certain Mr. Cissé, a Malian national living in the PIA housing estate in Zac Mbao.

Thanks to his cooperation, a search was conducted at the latter's home. Although the operation did not result in the discovery of a significant quantity of narcotics, the police nevertheless seized a bag of Indian hemp equivalent to a cone.

Taken to the police station, Mr. Cissé categorically denied any involvement, going so far as to claim not to know Mr. Sow. But the latter provided evidence to the contrary by showing investigators the suspect's phone number, according to Seneweb sources.

Despite his denials, Mr. Cissé was taken into custody for possession of Indian hemp and for supplying and transferring drugs.

It should be noted that this is not Mr. Cissé's first encounter with the law. He is already known to the police for similar offenses related to the possession and use of Indian hemp.
