Autonomisation économique des communautés locales : Les capacités financières des femmes entrepreneures de la région de Thiès renforcées
An official ceremony to present checks to the Economic Interest Groups (EIGs) of women in the Thiès region is being held this Saturday, January 24, 2026, in the railway city, at the initiative of the Priority Investment Guarantee Fund (FONGIP), in partnership with PAMECAS, a major player in inclusive finance in Senegal.
This action is fully in line with an approach to supporting sustainable development and the economic empowerment of local communities, consistent with national guidelines for economic and social transformation, particularly those promoted by the Senegal 2050 Agenda.
The ceremony is being held under the effective chairmanship of Mrs. Marie Khone Faye, First Lady of Senegal. Led by the General Administrator of FONGIP, Mrs. Ndèye Fatou Mbodj Diattara, it underscores the importance placed by the highest authorities of the country on the promotion of women's entrepreneurship and the economic inclusion of women.
The initiative is part of the institution's strategic vision to facilitate access to financing for priority economic actors, particularly women organized in GIEs.
Through this presentation of checks, FONGIP and PAMECAS intend to strengthen the financial capacities of women entrepreneurs in the Thiès region, in order to support their income-generating activities and promote the creation of value at the local level.
