Baisse du prix de l'électricité : "Le seul levier immédiat du gouvernement reste la réduction des taxes" (Mbaye Hadj)
The Prime Minister's recent announcement of an upcoming drop in electricity prices has been widely welcomed. This measure is all the more welcome given that weather forecasts predict a warm winter, a direct consequence of climate change. However, rising temperatures will inevitably result in an increase in energy consumption and, in turn, household bills.
However, for energy engineer Mbaye Hadj, the cost analysis reveals that the room for maneuver is limited in the short term.
As Mbaye Hadj points out, the final cost of electricity is determined by several complex variables: the production method used (thermal, solar, hydraulic, etc.); the cost of the fossil fuels required; the transmission and distribution network; and, finally, the taxes and fees applied by the State.
According to the expert, it is unrealistic to expect major structural changes in the immediate future. The energy sector is characterized by a high degree of inertia: "Building new power plants takes months, even years; setting up a smart grid capable of optimizing distribution also requires time and significant investment."
In other words, acting on the energy mix (production methods) or on the network (transport and distribution) requires a long-term commitment.
Engineer Mbaye Hadj therefore concludes that the government has only one solution to quickly reduce consumers' bills: "The only immediate lever available to the government to reduce the bill remains the reduction of taxes and levies applied by the State on the price of electricity."

Ce n'est pas juste les taxes dont dispose l'Etat franchement pour réguler un secteur.
Il y'a différents mode de régulation.
Et il n'ya pas que des taxes dans la structure d'un prix.
Il faut avoir la modestie d'être plus ouvert dans ses positions.
Il est là ce Monsieur toujours à parler de qu'il ne maitrise point.
