Urgence à La Poste : L’ADEP pointe du doigt dix ans de crise structurelle
At its general assembly, the Association of Graduates of Postal Schools (ADEP) presented a worrying assessment of the situation at La Poste (the French postal service). According to its president, Alioune Déme, the company has been experiencing a crisis for over a decade and now requires urgent measures to avoid irreversible decline.
The report highlights several major difficulties hindering the institution's smooth operation. Logistics are deemed inadequate, as a lack of resources drastically limits the company's ability to fulfill its core missions. Furthermore, access to financing has become restricted, significantly slowing down modernization projects that are nevertheless essential to the organization's survival. In this already fragile context, La Poste must also contend with increased competition from private operators, who are often better equipped technologically to meet the evolving needs of the market.
As the sole shareholder, the State is directly addressed by ADEP. The association believes that it is now imperative to go beyond ad hoc support measures and finally invest in structuring projects capable of ensuring the company's long-term viability.
For ADEP, the announced restructuring must not be a mere facelift. It must include a thorough review of the overall economic model, the development of human capital, and the acceleration of technological innovation. Without a clear strategy and appropriate funding, the risk of a lasting decline for this national flagship remains a real threat.
