[EXCLUSIF] Actes contre nature : Un nouveau réseau démantelé, un célèbre journaliste de télé cité
The Faidherbe Research Brigade (BR), under the Dakar gendarmerie company, dismantled a network of suspected homosexuals operating in Dakar, following an intelligence operation conducted in the Mbao and Ouakam districts. Senegalese student O. Sall and Franco-Senegalese restaurant owner SG Preira were arrested, each with videos showing orgies.
As part of its intelligence activities, the Faidherbe Criminal Investigation Brigade received information from a young woman who had infiltrated an online group for people identifying as transgender, lesbian, and gay. Posing as someone interested in these practices, she managed to join the group and make contact with some of its organizers. A meeting was reportedly arranged at an apartment in the Mbao Urban Development Zone for a group sex session involving several men and women.
Having been informed of the planned meeting, plainclothes gendarmes set up a surveillance and intervention operation. On the appointed day, O. Sall, 23, a student at FASEG (Faculty of Economics and Management), was the first to arrive at the location. According to the case file submitted to the public prosecutor on Friday, he began contacting the other participants. However, due to the intervention of law enforcement, they reportedly decided not to show up. Thanks in particular to images and messages recovered from the infiltrated group, investigators were able to formally identify O. Sall, who was arrested on the spot. The investigation continued and led the gendarmes to the home of SG Preira, 35, a French-Senegalese restaurant owner residing in Ouakam. He was also apprehended. Other suspected members of the network, including a journalist from an international television channel currently outside the country, have reportedly been identified and are actively being sought.
The investigation revealed that the individuals involved maintained contact through dating apps and social media platforms such as TikTok, WhatsApp, and Grindr. During his hearing, O. Sall admitted to having engaged in intimate relationships with people of the same sex on three occasions, including with a foreign journalist he met in Dakar-Plateau, with SG
Preira and a French national named Jean. He stated that he acted out of curiosity, while presenting himself as heterosexual. He admitted to being an "active participant" in the events he is accused of and expressed remorse, according to Seneweb sources close to the prosecutor's office.
For his part, SG Preira stated that he had exhibited effeminate behavior since childhood. He admitted to having committed a similar act in France with a Senegalese national in the past and to having exchanged messages with several foreign contacts via specialized apps. He presented himself as a "passive subject" and maintained that he had acted out of curiosity. Both men indicated that they did not belong to a structured organization, while acknowledging that they had been in contact with people within the LGBT community. The investigation also revealed that he had engaged in several unprotected sexual encounters, according to Seneweb sources close to the prosecutor's office.
At the conclusion of the investigation, the gendarmes charged SG Preira and O. Sall with acts classified as unnatural. SG Preira is also being prosecuted for the intentional transmission of HIV. The two men were brought before the public prosecutor at the Dakar High Court on Friday, February 27, 2026. A judicial inquiry may be opened to continue the investigation.
