During his initial questioning last Saturday, Ndiaga Seck attempted to deny the charges against him. However, a preliminary examination of his phone, conducted with his permission, confirmed the accusations made by the detainee, Ahmadou Lamine Dia.
Faced with the mounting evidence, the politician decided to give a full statement. The man in his fifties recounted how he had embraced homosexuality before turning over a new leaf. Seneweb exclusively presents the transcripts of his hearing, based on the official report of the investigation submitted to the Louga High Court.
“My parents divorced when I was between 4 and 5 years old. I was entrusted to my paternal grandmother who lived in Ziguinchor. That’s where I did housework,” he told the urban police station in Linguère.
It was in Ziguinchor that Ndiaga Seck says he inherited his effeminate mannerisms. With boys his own age, he says, they began to touch each other, without, however, engaging in sexual acts during that period.
His life took a dramatic turn after his university studies, between 1998 and 1999, according to his own statements. In an internet café, he logged onto a friendship website where he met a mixed-race man based in France.
“He flirted with me by asking if I had ever had sexual relations with a man. Faced with his insistence, I told him that he would be my first sexual partner. We continued our conversation until the day he left France to visit me in Senegal. He was staying at the Le Méridien Président hotel at the time. We had sexual intercourse and I was the active partner,” Ndiaga Seck stated during his interrogation, according to the file submitted to the investigating magistrate.
It was through the same dating platform that Ndiaga Seck met a man named Papis Camara, who allegedly expressed his romantic feelings for him. Seck accepted his invitation, and the two men began an intimate relationship. It was from this point that Ndiaga Seck reportedly became involved in homosexual activity, engaging in sexual relationships with several men.
"I used to receive my partners at my home. I am an active person," he confided.
Ndiaga Seck also stated that he had repented and had definitively turned the page on homosexuality. He even claims to have sometimes contacted homosexuals to raise awareness.
The politician also revealed that he had been to Mecca more than three times.
In his confession, Ndiaga Seck revealed the identities of about ten of his partners, along with their phone numbers, according to Seneweb sources. He was brought before the investigating judge in Louga this morning and is likely to be remanded in custody within the next few hours.
His mobile phone, which was placed under seal after his arrest, will be handed over to the Special Cyber Division (DSC) for further analysis.
