On Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 9:05 a.m., a student named Déthié Sarr, residing in Ndayane, went to the central police station in Diourbel to file a complaint. He stated that he had been invited during the night of June 3-4, 2026, by MAMosso, 23 years old, a footballer, residing in Médinatoul.
According to his statements, Mosso lured him around 10 p.m. to a house under construction in the neighborhood and attempted to force him to perform oral sex. Resisting his advances, he claims the footballer then called people to accuse him of theft and try to lynch him. He says he finally managed to escape thanks to a motorcyclist who pulled him from the scene, before stealing his cell phone and fleeing.
The accused reveals a premeditated trap
Following this statement, MAMosso was arrested and taken to the police station. During questioning, he gave a radically different version of events. He stated that he had met Déthié Sarr on social media and quickly noticed his behavior, which he described as homosexual. He claimed that he then arranged to meet him with the aim of trapping him, with the help of his friends.
To support his claims, Mosso handed over his cell phones to investigators, which contained audio messages from the complainant soliciting explicit sexual acts, including penetration, flirting, cuddling, and even sucking his breasts.
In light of these elements, the two protagonists are placed in police custody for the purposes of the investigation.
The student's confession and the results of the HIV tests
Confronted with the incriminating evidence, Déthié Sarr eventually confessed to having once committed an unnatural act with an unknown partner residing in Dakar. He claims to have tried to reconnect with this man before ultimately blocking him and changing his SIM card. When questioned about any potential partners in Diourbel, he stated that he had none.
A medical requisition was sent to a doctor to examine the two suspects and conduct HIV tests. The results were conclusive: Déthié Sarr tested positive, while MAMosso tested negative.
The public prosecutor has been informed of the facts. The investigation is ongoing.
