Exercice illégal de la médecine : un cabinet tenu par des étrangers démantelé par la BR de Faidherbe, trois arrestations
The Research Brigade (BR) of Faidherbe, under the Dakar Gendarmerie Company, arrested three (03) individuals, including two Senegalese and one foreign national, for criminal association, illegal practice of medicine and endangering the lives of others.
The information was given to Seneweb by Colonel Ibrahima Ndiaye, head of the Communication and Public Relations Division of the National Gendarmerie.
According to the explanations provided, the case began following the exploitation of intelligence indicating the existence of a medical practice run by foreign nationals and operating illegally in downtown Dakar.
An investigation was then opened to verify the veracity of the reported facts.
After cross-checking and investigating, the officers of the Faidherbe Brigade, under the command of Major Lazard Khayang Tine, moved in. On Monday, February 23, 2025, at around 2:00 PM, they conducted an operation at the indicated location. The suspects were apprehended in the act of carrying out their activities.
The search carried out in the office resulted in the seizure of:
twenty (20) cartons containing various products;
five (05) pallets of medical equipment;
consultation tickets;
one (01) massage chair.
The three suspects have been taken into custody for the aforementioned offenses. The investigation is ongoing to identify any potential connections and determine full responsibility.
The National Gendarmerie calls on the public to be vigilant and invites them to report any suspicious activity by calling the freephone numbers 800 00 20 20 or 123.
