Aveux détonants : «Comment je suis devenu homo», «pourquoi je couchais avec plusieurs hommes»
Cheikh C., the main suspect in the case of the six alleged practitioners of unnatural acts arrested in Yeumbeul-Sud last week, has confessed, giving startling testimony, according to L'Observateur, which published his confession. According to the daily newspaper, the 20-year-old street vendor stated that he became homosexual because he was abused as a child by an adult of the same sex.
The abuser had disappeared from his life; "the damage was already done and the bad habits were already deeply ingrained," he explained. Cheikh C. made his old neighborhood his "hunting ground," recruiting partners "just for fun, not for money." He then expanded his network through a digital platform where he met numerous partners whom he now claims to be "unable to identify."
The street vendor was reported to the police by a childhood friend. L'Observateur reports that Cheikh C. propositioned the friend. This occurred on the night of March 29-30. The friend pretended to accept, then handed him over to a mob who wanted to lynch him.
He was rescued by police officers from Yeumbeul-Sud, who intervened just in time. The young man was found in possession of condoms and lubricants.
During his detention, he implicated five men, who he claimed were his sexual partners. These men were subsequently arrested, including a driver. Everyone underwent HIV/AIDS testing. "C. Cissé and the driver are the only ones who tested positive for the virus," reports the newspaper of the Future Media Group.
