Fatick : Un réseau de trafic de drogue commandé depuis la prison démantelé par la police
On April 17, 2026, the urban security of the central police station of Fatick referred six individuals to the prosecutor's office for association of criminals, trafficking of Indian hemp, complicity and theft.
The case began with the arrest of B. Diouf, a 19-year-old electromechanical technician residing in the Darel neighborhood, for the theft of a Jakarta motorcycle. A search of his home revealed traces of Indian hemp and drug packaging bags.
When questioned, he stated that the drugs belonged to Mr. Ka, also known as "Modou Ndiaye," and that the latter, like the other members of the network, worked for C. Dione, aged 25.
The continuation of the investigations on the same day led the investigators to the center of the network, located at the Jakarta stop known as "Ndeye Sène" in the Darel district.
The operation led to the arrest of four accomplices, Mr. Ka known as "Modou Ndiaye", A. Diouf, D. Diouf known as "Manga" and David Fall, as well as the seizure of more than 500 cones of Indian hemp and two Jakarta motorcycles.
The investigation then revealed a surprising twist: the mastermind of the network, C. Dione, was already serving a prison sentence for intentional assault and battery at the Foundiougne detention and correctional center.
Taken from his cell and confronted with the evidence, he unconvincingly denied being the head of the network, according to Seneweb sources.
The six individuals involved were brought before the prosecutor's office at the end of their police custody.
