Fatick : Le dealer qui échappait à toutes les interpellations finalement arrêté par l'OCRTIS
A successful raid for the Fatick Regional Narcotics Brigade of the OCRTIS. On the night of Monday, October 20, 2025, the sleuths put an end to the activities of an Indian hemp trafficking network and arrested two individuals, including a trafficker who was actively wanted. A total of 2.5 kg of drugs were seized.
It all began with a tip-off signaling intense Indian hemp trafficking activity in the "Samba Dia" area. Elements of the Fatick Regional Narcotics Brigade of the OCRTIS then set up a discreet surveillance system.
On Monday, October 20, 2025, at 5:15 a.m., investigators took action. They first arrested I. Diop, a fisherman born in 1988. He was found in possession of a yellow plastic bag containing 2 kg of Indian hemp, carefully concealed in two blocks of one kilogram each.
Confessions that lead to the mastermind of the network
Asked to reveal the origin of the drug, I. Diop admitted that it belonged to a certain B. Modou, who had asked him to deliver it to a client. He specified that the latter was in Djiffer where he allegedly carried out his trafficking activity on a daily basis.
Without wasting any time, the surveillance team immediately headed to Djiffer. There, near the beach, the police arrested B. Modou, a fisherman born in 1995, in the act of packaging 500 grams of Indian hemp into cones for his customers.
When questioned about the origin of the drugs, B. Modou admitted to owning them, both the one found on him and the one seized during I. Diop's arrest. However, he refused to reveal the identity of his supplier.
After being informed of their rights, including the right to legal assistance, the accused were searched. No objects or evidence related to the trafficking were discovered at B. Modou's home.
A trafficker who escaped justice
It should be noted that B. Modou was the subject of active investigations by the OCRTIS services. His name had been cited several times in various proceedings as one of the main suppliers of Indian hemp in the sector. The dealer had also eluded several arrest attempts in the past.
This time, the OCRTIS bloodhounds of Fatick succeeded in putting an end to his illicit activities. The two alleged perpetrators are currently in the hands of the justice system and will have to answer for their actions in court.
