Fimela : Un militaire en service au camp de Kaolack arrêté pour le vol de 16 vaches
A soldier named Mr. Faye, stationed at the Kaolack military camp, is in serious trouble. He was arrested and taken into custody in Fimela, in the Fatick region. He is being prosecuted for the theft of 16 cows. The incident occurred on the morning of Friday, March 27, in Cabatoki, in the Kaolack commune.
The soldier allegedly diverted the animals around Cabatoki to lead them to Gandiaye, a town 20 km away from Kalolack.
It was in this locality that he called two young men from the village of Naca Mbaye, near Ndiosmone, to come and collect the animals. They met him at the indicated place before leading the cows to Naca Mbaye where they were brought into the enclosure of the soldier's grandfather.
Meanwhile, the victims, with the support of the inhabitants of Cabatoki, followed the animal tracks to Naca Mbaye.
Alerted, the gendarmes from Fimela immediately went to the scene to arrest the two young men and the owner of the enclosure.
Reached by phone by the gendarmes, the soldier, who was in a taxi, had traveled to Naca Mbaye. When questioned about the origin of the animals, he stated that he had bought them upon returning from a mission abroad. However, under intense interrogation, he eventually confessed to his illegal act.
He was arrested and taken into custody at the Fimela gendarmerie brigade for cattle theft. The cows were returned to their rightful owners.
