Focus Immobilier dément toute saisie de ses biens par Coris Bank
An article published in the daily newspaper "Les Échos" on September 8, 2025, reports an alleged seizure of Focus Immobilier's assets by Coris Bank International, citing an amount of around two billion CFA francs. The real estate company, through its CEO, Astou M. Guissé, has taken the initiative to react firmly and deny this information, which it considers "inaccurate and seriously prejudicial."
In its press release, Focus Immobilier states that none of its assets have been seized by Coris Bank International, or any other banking institution. The company adds that it is "not liable for any debt" to Coris Bank to date and that the hearing mentioned by the newspaper does not concern a sale decision, but "a deregistration procedure set for October 7, 2025," which "completely changes the legal nature of the case."
Furthermore, Focus Immobilier points out that Mr. Khadim Kébé, cited in the article, has not held any executive position within the company for a long time. "He is not involved in day-to-day management or operational strategic decisions," the management emphasizes, denouncing the association of his name with the company's current management.
Focus Immobilier, which boasts over 25 years of experience in the market, also insists that it does not have assets valued at two billion CFA francs, as the newspaper claimed. However, it acknowledges that, like any company in the sector, it has "standard banking commitments" that it strives to meet.
Focus Immobilier deplores the "spread of erroneous and sensationalist information" which tarnishes its image and announces that it reserves the right to take any necessary action to defend its interests.
