A hairdresser was caught red-handed stealing at a trade fair organized by the TikToker and businesswoman known as "Maman Vulgaire" at the esplanade of the Léopold Sédar Senghor Stadium in the Parcelles Assainies district. She was brought before the Dakar High Court on Wednesday.

The incident occurred around 9 p.m. MD Ndiaye, 42, a hairdresser residing in Parcelles Assainies Unit 12, went to a shoe vendor's stall to haggle over the price of a pair. While the transaction was underway and the complainant, NADiop, was looking for the change, her assistant noticed that a box of shoes worth 75,000 CFA francs was missing.

The woman in question, who was present at the scene, then insisted on retrieving her purchased pair and leaving the premises without arousing suspicion.

She was caught trying to pass the box, containing 35 pairs of shoes, over the fence, negotiating with a motorcyclist to transport it outside. Security guard I. Ndiaye, who was present, confronted her, demanded an invoice which she was unable to provide, and then subdued her after she tried to flee into the crowd.

Taken to the Parcelles Assainies district police station, under the command of Commissioner El Hadji Ali Sow, MDNdiaye eventually confessed to the crimes. "I fully admit to the theft charges against me and I ask forgiveness from the victim and leniency from the justice system," she declared during her hearing, according to Seneweb sources.

Brought before the High Court of Dakar on Wednesday, she is charged with flagrant theft.

This unfortunate incident occurred during a popular commercial event organized by the influencer and TikToker "Maman Vulgaire," with the support of several celebrities, including Bijou Ngoné from 2STV. Singer Viviane Chidid and the well-known soap vendor Diodio were also in attendance.
