Gossas : un accident de la route fait un mort et deux blessés graves
A tragic traffic accident occurred this Friday, September 5, 2025, at around 12:00 p.m., on the RD610B departmental road, three kilometers east of the town of Gossas. The tragedy involved a private vehicle, a Toyota Hilux.
According to initial reports gathered on the spot, the vehicle, registered AA-397-GP, was driven by Moussa Ndouré, a driver living in Kaffrine. The 57-year-old man is said to have dozed off at the wheel while traveling in the Gossas–Ndiéné Lagane direction.
Losing control of his vehicle, he left the road before the car ended up in a series of rolls on the side of the road.
The toll is heavy. It reports one death: the driver himself, and two seriously injured.
They were urgently evacuated by the firefighters to the Gossas health district for medical treatment.
The vehicle suffered significant material damage. Sources have suggested that the probable causes include reckless driving, poor control, and failure to comply with driving regulations.
Alerted, the Gossas gendarmerie brigade quickly went to the scene to conduct the usual investigations. An investigation has been opened to determine the exact causes of this tragedy, which has once again plunged the region into turmoil.
