Goudiry : 1,5 t de produits impropres à la consommation incinérée
The Goudiry hygiene sub-brigade carried out an incineration operation on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, involving the incineration of products unfit for consumption. The operation took place in the presence of the prefect of Goudiry and the president of the consumer association, as part of ongoing public health control and protection measures in the department.
According to the hygiene department, the destroyed products, mainly expired foodstuffs, are estimated at 1.5 tons. The fixed fine related to this seizure amounts to 1,750,000 CFA francs.
Through this operation, the health authorities reaffirm their commitment to the fight against the marketing of products dangerous to the health of the population and call on traders to strictly respect hygiene and food safety standards.
