Goudiry : Le ministre de l'Intérieur inaugure une nouvelle caserne de sapeurs-pompiers
The Minister of the Interior and Public Security, Mr. Mouhamadou Bamba Cissé, visited Goudiry on Thursday, November 27, 2025. There, he inaugurated the new barracks of the National Fire Brigade.
During the ceremony, the minister paid a heartfelt tribute to the firefighters. He praised the courage of these men and women who proudly uphold the motto "to save or perish." This motto exemplifies their daily dedication to serving the people of Senegal.
This inauguration marks a significant step in the departmentalization of emergency services in Senegal. The new fire station in Goudiry represents the first milestone in this ambitious project. It is part of a program to build ultra-modern, interconnected infrastructure across the entire country.
186 barracks planned by 2050
The government has planned the construction of 186 fire stations across the country. This multi-year program is part of the national transformation agenda, Senegal 2050. Between 2026 and 2030, at least 86 fire stations will be built throughout the country, according to the Ministry of the Interior.
Other inaugurations are already planned for the coming months. The new fire stations in Diamniadio, Dahra, Sokone, Ndiaganiao, and Kédougou will soon be operational. These modern facilities will bring emergency services closer to the population and reduce response times in emergencies.

La construction de cette caserne à été inscrit de la loi de finance de l'année 2025.
Et il est financé par les recettes du pétrole et du gaz.
Ouvrez la loi de finances de l'année dernière et vous verrez ce que j'ai dit.
Donc c'est pas un projet de Macky Sall.
En plus même si c'était le cas, l'Etat est une continuité et tout ça c'est payé avec l'argent du contribuable. C'est nous qui payons pas Macky
