Surprise raid on drug dealer den
Investigative officers from the Grand-Yoff district police station carried out a surprise raid on an alley in the Arafat district, known to be a common meeting point for drug traffickers.
The operation resulted in the arrest of S. Ndiaye, 27, a carter by profession. During his search, the police discovered:
- A black bag containing 500 grams of loose Indian hemp
- A sum of 150,000 CFA francs, probably from trafficking
Partial confession from the suspect
When questioned by investigators, the suspect admitted to owning the seized drugs. However, regarding the money found in his possession, he claimed that it belonged to his mother, according to Seneweb sources.
The suspect was taken into custody for offering or transferring Indian hemp.
