Guédiawaye : deux familles s’affrontent, les pères poursuivis pour rébellion et usurpation de fonction
A simple quarrel between two young girls in the Dioumkhop neighborhood of Guédiawaye degenerated Tuesday evening into a violent clash between their families, transforming the neighborhood into a veritable battlefield.
Alerted, the police had to intervene to separate the protagonists and make eight arrests, including two fathers. According to L'Observateur, quoting a police source, "the situation [was] untenable [when the police arrived on the scene], with verbal and physical violence on both sides."
One of the fathers, A. Cissé, is being prosecuted for rebellion after trying to prevent his relatives from boarding, while the other, Mr. Cissé, faces charges of usurping his position for falsely presenting himself as an officer in the French Navy, reports the daily newspaper of the Future Media Group.
All the accused were brought before the public prosecutor. They will face charges of assault and battery, in addition to the specific offenses charged against the two heads of the family.
